CAMIRO-MPD is organized and controlled by the members. The members elect an Executive Committee comprising a Chairman, a Secretary, and a Treasurer. The Executive Committee is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Division. The Executive Committee appoints a Research Director whose tasks include identifying sponsors and research groups for the proposed research projects, soliciting new project proposals, and increasing membership. 

Committees have been created to streamline project initiation and control.  The committees cover Comminution, Mineral Beneficiation, Hydrometallurgy, and Environmental/Waste Management.  Member companies can elect to belong to any or all committees depending on their interest.
